FreshMate Terms of Service

1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of FreshMate ("Service"). By using FreshMate, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Description of Service
FreshMate helps you track inventory and expiry dates, scan receipts (OCR), receive reminders, share inventory with a household (premium), and subscribe to FreshMate Premium.
Available on iOS and Android. Features may vary by platform.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 (or minimum age in your country) and provide accurate registration information. Email and password only — no social login in v1.
4. Account Security
You are responsible for your password and account activity. Reset password via in-app "Forgot password". Delete account via Settings → Delete Account.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
5.1 FreshMate Premium

Free-tier limits apply until you subscribe.
5.2 Payment processing
- iOS: Apple App Store
- Android: Google Play
RevenueCat manages entitlements. We do not use Stripe or collect card numbers.
5.3 Auto-renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before period end. Charge occurs within 24 hours prior to renewal.
5.4 Free trials
If offered, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before expiry.
5.5 Cancellation and refunds
- Cancel: iOS Settings → Subscriptions or Google Play → Subscriptions
- Deleting the app does not cancel subscription
- Refunds: via Apple or Google policies
5.6 Price changes
We may change prices per App Store / Play Store rules with required notice.
6. Acceptable Use
Do not: use unlawfully; bypass limits or security; reverse engineer; overload systems; share credentials; resell access.
7. User Content and Household Sharing
You own your inventory data. You grant us a license to host and sync it (including with invited household members). FreshMate is not food safety or medical advice.
8. OCR and Receipt Scanning
On-device ML Kit OCR may contain errors — always verify before saving. We are not liable for spoilage or health outcomes based on app data.
9. Push Notifications
Local and remote notifications (OneSignal) for expiry alerts. Disable in device settings if desired.
10. Third-Party Services
Integrations: Supabase, RevenueCat, Firebase, OneSignal, Apple, Google. Subject to their terms.
11. Intellectual Property
FreshMate name, logo, and software are ours. Limited personal, non-commercial license to use the app.
12. Disclaimers
SERVICE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES. No guarantee of uninterrupted service, error-free OCR, or timely reminders.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NO INDIRECT/CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. TOTAL LIABILITY: greater of (A) amounts paid in last 12 months or (B) USD $50.
14. Indemnification
You indemnify us for misuse, Terms violations, or third-party rights infringement.
15. Termination
You may delete your account anytime. We may suspend for breach. Surviving sections remain in effect.
16. Governing Law
Republic of Türkiye, courts of Istanbul.
