SoftPaper("App") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use SoftPaper.
1. Data Collection and Storage (Local-First)
SoftPaper is built with a local-first architecture.
- Personal data: We do not collect, store, or transmit your name, email address, location, or any other personally identifiable information to our servers.
- Drawings and notes: All digital planners, handwritten strokes, notebook pages, and bookmarks are stored only on your device (Hive database). Your content is never sent to third-party or cloud servers.
- Data ownership: You own all content created on your device. When you uninstall the app, local data is removed by the operating system.
2. Purchases and Subscriptions
SoftPaper uses Apple App Store (StoreKit) and RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and free trials.
- Purchases and payment details are processed directly by Apple. SoftPaper cannot see or store your credit card or financial information.
- Subscription status (e.g. free trial or active subscription) is linked to your Apple ID and validated via the RevenueCat SDK.
3. Analytics and Crash Reporting
We use anonymous crash reporting to improve stability and performance:
- Apple native crash analytics:If "Share Analytics with Developers" is enabled on your iOS device, Apple may collect anonymous crash reports.
- Firebase Crashlytics: On unexpected crashes, anonymous technical logs (device model, OS version, stack traces) may be collected. These logs do not include personal data or drawing content.
4. Third-Party Services
SoftPaper uses a minimal set of third-party services:

5. Children's Privacy
SoftPaper does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Because all data stays on-device, the app is suitable for family use without cloud exposure.
